Q. I am a doctor

Q. How does HealthEngine determine the order of post-nominal qualifications?

A. Display of post-nominal qualifications is always a bit controversial so we have written a blog post to explain our rationale behind the way we display post-nominal titles

Q- We want to make some changes to our details, how do we do that?

A – use the ‘report an error’ button, or the contact us form

Q – Can anyone change my details?

Q- We’re adding a new service do I have to pay for the change to my listing?

A – Basic listings are free and you can update your details as often as you like.  If you or your practice have been in the news or are offering a new service let us know – we’ll add the news to our blog so everyone gets to hear about it.

Q – How do you make money (where’s the catch)?

A – Basic listings are free like this one xx link, if you want more detail then we ask you to part with some money

Q – What do I get from my customized listing and how much is it?

A –

Q- I’d like a customised listing — but I’m working a 28-hour-day already -how much work will I have to do?

A – Nothing.  That’s the point, we do it for you. Send us an email with your pics attached, a short paragraph as a bio (or just send your CV) and we’ll do the rest.  Here’s an example of what it can look like … link

Q – How long will it take you to build my profile pages?

A – Five working days

Q – We already pay for Yellow Pages, how much is it to be listed with HealthEngine?

A – It’s Free, and easy to get your information to us – we do the rest (and produce a much nicer looking ad in our humble opinion) (example)

Q – How many people use your site to find doctors?

A – At the moment we have around 80,000 page views a month and 20,000 new people visiting the site every month

Q – We already have a website, why do I need a listing with you too

A – Doctors on HealthEngine are consistently found on the first page of a Google page.  Which means if you register with us, we also list your website and give that an extra push with the search engines too.

Q – Why can’t I upload my logo and change the details myself?

A – You will be able to soon.  In the meantie we like to check that it is your own details or that of your practice you are wanting to change

Q – My doc was great.  I want to add a review?

A – We get a lot requests for this – It’s coming

Q – Do I have to add a photo?

A – No – that’s entirely up to you.  Our research shows that photos increase the level of trust of the general public and their sense of engagement with their doctor but you don’t have to add photos.

Q – If I type my Practice Name into Google it already comes up on the first page. Why is listing with HealthEngine important?

A – The way people search isn’t necessarily by practice name but by specialties and procedures.  For example, if ‘xxxx’ is searched for, those practices listed with HealthEngine offering those services are more likely to be on the first page of a Google search
