HealthEngine Australia is a searchable online directory of doctors, hospitals and medical practices throughout Australia. Healthengine provides practical and useful health information for all. It is free to list and free to browse. HealthEngine is currently in beta testing phase, so please be patient. The doctor and practice profiles are being amalgamated; the health articles are being fine tuned and the search interface is becoming more refined. It takes time to run verification checks on the Medical Board Registration status and basic medical qualifications of all the doctors in the database and determine the order of post-nominal titles and letters – but it will be worth the wait. The final result will be a ‘one-stop shop’ for all your health related needs.

HealthEngine.com.au is an Australian-based medical search engine that allows you to safely search for general practitioners, surgeons, medical specialists, hospitals and medical practices across Australia. HealthEngine provides a simple and intuitive navigational structure to guide you through the maze of health related questions from finding the right doctor or medical specialist for you through to learning about medical tests, procedures, investigations, diseases and conditions. All articles on the website are written and peer reviewed by Australian physicians to provide accurate information for all your health needs.

The HealthEngine team have created a dynamic search engine behind the simple website interface to help you find the right health professional or health information you need quickly and efficiently. Using HealthEngine is simple. You can search for the doctor you require by name and location or use some of the advanced search functions to locate exactly the right doctor for you. Users can refine their search by medical specialty, areas of special interest, languages spoken, gender, procedures performed, state, suburb or postcode…

The HealthEngine team has responded promptly to early feedback and has produced a series of health information articles to debunk the mysteries of medical qualifications, medical specialties, medical investigations and procedures.
