There are eight medical schools in the Netherlands. The duration of basic medical degree course, including practical training is usually 6 years. The final qualification following medical training is Arts [Physician].

LUNA Health and Social Network is a Ugandan non governmental organisation. It takes interest in facilitating placements for professionals and trainees in various fields for purpose of research, field work, internships or a volunteer. It is based at Kisugu on the suburbs of the capital of city, Kampala.
LUNA understands that the world in which we live today depends on interaction and interrelations for cooperation as well as co-existence. This is not only possible at governmental level but even among the individual citizens.
Our Mission.
Since many trainees and professionals yarn to come to Uganda to do research and gain experience, it is important that they should be assisted by locals to achieve their objectives. LUNA undertakes to facilitate this by providing essential information and facilities for the placements in different fields as well as providing accommodation and the basic requirements. This is because we are interested and experienced in this call.
The applicant should be capable of speaking English, with qualifications pertaining to his field of work and recommendation from his superior.
The applicant will pay some nominal fees for the placement. The total is;
1. 6 weeks £ 1435 Euro 1556
2. 5 weeks £ 1335 Euro 1448
3. 4 weeks £ 1235 Euro 1339
4. 3 weeks £ 1135 Euro 1231
5. 2 weeks £ 1035 Euro 1122
Each extra week is £ 135 Euro 147
The fees includes ; All placements, accommodation, breakfast, Dinners and Airport shuttles. Lunch is provided during the week days on “order”. There is also a trip to the source of the Nile and Equator once a month.
What is not included;Air tickets to and from Entebbe, Kampala, Visa , Work permit, Medical and Travel Insurance, Social travelling, Gowns and Gloves .
